At Inyeri Worldwide Safaris, based in Kampala, Uganda, we respect your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data when you use our website and book our Uganda safaris.

1. Information we collect

When you fill in our inquiry form or booking form, email us or chat with us, we collect:

• Name, email, phone/WhatsApp number and nationality
• Travel dates, number of people and passport details (only for gorilla permit bookings)
• Payment information (we do not store card details — payments are processed by the bank or Pesapal)
• Website usage via cookies (see section 6)

2. How we use your information

We use your data to:

• Reply to your safari inquiry and send quotations
• Book gorilla permits with the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), chimpanzee permits, lodges and park fees (this requires full names and passport numbers)
• Process your deposit and final payment
• Send your tour itinerary, voucher and pre-travel information
• Improve our website and marketing (with your consent)

3. Sharing your data

We only share your data with:

• The Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) for gorilla and chimpanzee permits
• The Rwanda Development Board (RDB) if you book Rwanda tours
• Lodges and hotels for reservations
• Payment processors (bank, Pesapal, Mobile Money)
• We never sell your data to third parties for marketing.

4. How we store and protect data

• Data is stored on secure servers with SSL encryption (HTTPS).
• Passport copies are deleted 7 days after your tour ends.
• WhatsApp and email chats are kept for 2 years for customer support.
• Access is restricted — only our booking manager can see your data.

5. Your rights

Under the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019 and the GDPR (for EU clients), you have the right to:

• Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct or delete your data
• Withdraw marketing consent at any time
• Complain to the Personal Data Protection Office, Uganda
• To exercise these rights, email inyeriworldsafaris@gmail.com — we reply within 48 hours.

6. Cookies

Our website uses cookies to:

• Remember your currency and language
• Use Google Analytics to see which tours are popular
• Use the Facebook Pixel to show relevant safari ads
• You can disable cookies in your browser settings — the website will still work.

7. Third-party links

Our site may link to UWA, Visit Uganda and TripAdvisor. We are not responsible for their privacy policies.

8. Children's privacy

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Family safari bookings are made by parents or guardians.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
